The Will of Garten B. Maupin
Boone County, Missouri - Circuit Court, Probate Division


In the name of God, Amen.  I, Garten B. Maupin, being weak in body but
in good mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of life do make
this my last will and testament as follows.  Viz:
        Item, 1st   I will and ordain that all sums of money due me or
to become due others or note or account be collected , and that all
debts due by me be paid.
        Item, 2d   I will and bequeath to my beloved wife, Patsy
Maupin, the whole of my estate after my debts are paid, to be used by
her for her benefit and comfort in such manner as she shall think
proper.
        Item, 3d   I will and ordain at the decease of my said wife,
Patsy, that the whole of my estate or such part of it as may not be
used by my wife in her life time, be equally divided between my two
children, Archibald W. Maupin, and Lucinda B. Wigginton: the latter
having first received two hundred dollars.
        Item, 4th   I will and ordain that my executor and executrix
hereafter to be appointed shall possess full and ample power to sell
and dispose of any property, real or personal that may belong to my
estate and where or when necessary the  appropriate money or
conveyances make to purchases.
        Item, 5th   I suggest for the purpose of paying my debts that
such property shall first be sold or will seem to be least useful or
needed by my wife.
        Item, 6th   I nominate and appoint my wife, Patsy Maupin,
executrix and Thomas C. Maupin executor of this my last will.
