Angsten, cooper, was born in Prussia, Germany, on March 16, 1847, and came to America in 1851, his parents locating in Chicago, where he was raised, educated and learned his trade. In 1877, he came to St. Joseph. He was married in 1873 to Miss Annie Boesh.
