Biographical Sketch of Noah Boaz, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** Noah Boaz, carpenter and builder, was born in Clay County, Missouri, August 5, 1844, and in his tenth year removed with his parents to DeKalb County, that state, where he was educated and raised to man- hood. His father, Harrison, was a carpenter, and Noah adopted that profession. The death of Harrison Boaz occurred while he was a resident of DeKalb County, and Noah's mother was again married, to Captain William Moore, of Buchanan County. Mr. Boaz located in St. Joseph. He is a skilled workman, and has built many of its fine residences and other buildings in the city. In 1864, Miss S. M. Anderson, a native of Kentucky, became his wife.
