Biographical Sketch of Daniel Brumley, Bloomington Township, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** Daniel Brumley, farmer, section 21, postoffice DeKalb, was born in Shelby County, Kentucky, February 14, 1814. His father, William, was also a native of Kentucky, and a cooper by trade, which Daniel also learned. In 1837, he moved to Parke County, Indiana, where he remain- ed until 1843, the time of his emigration to Buchanan County, Missouri. Here he has since resided. Followed his trade, principally, from boy- hood until he moved to his present location, and occasionally since, the remainder of his time being engaged in farming. His farm contains 321 acres, moderately improved, all of which is the result of his own savings. He was married, September 18, 1834, to Miss Elizabeth J. Brown. she was born in Shelby County, Kentucky June 4, 1818.
