Biographical Sketch of Richard P. Fales, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** R. P. Fales, blacksmith, is among the early settlers of St. Joseph, coming here in 1855. He was born in Perry, Allen County, Indiana, in 1844, and settled in this county with his father, Shepperd Fales, in the above year. His father was well and favorably known in the county for a number of years, and now lives in Ft. Pierre. Dick was raised to manhood and learned his trade in this city and has a large acquaintance. As a blacksmith he ranks among the first. He was married, in 1865, to Miss Mary F. E. Striblen.
