Biographical Sketch of Timothy Ferrell, Jackson Township, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** Timothy Ferrell, farmer, section 4, postoffice Agency, was born in Ireland, December 12, 1840. At the age of twelve he left his native country for America, and landed at New Orleans, where he remained six months; after which he emigrated to St. Louis, Missouri. Here he re- sided up to 1861, during which time he learned the moulder's trade. In 1861 he moved to Buchanan County, and in 1865 was married to Miss Fannie Reynolds, a native of Buchanan County. By this union they have had five children: Mary L., Susan W., Joseph E., Eurabe A. and John W. He was a member of an exempt company at St. Joseph during the late war.
