Biographical Sketch of Louis Herwig, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO

Louis Herwig was born in Germany in 1850, and emigrated to America
in 1867, landing at New York.  He came direct to St. Joseph, Missouri.
Had a good common school education; was married, June 6, 1868 to Miss
Rosa Zillas, a native of Germany, and by this union they have two
children.  He is a member of the Mannaerchor and German Benevolent
Societies.
