Biographical Sketch of W. P. Hartman, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO

W. P. Hartman, painter, is a native of Missouri, and was born
January 6, 1854. His father, Michael, was an argriculturist, and
W. P., until the age of thirteen years old, spent his days in farm-
ing. He then went to Kansas City and learned his trade and resided
there until 1874, when he became a resident of St. Joseph, and has
since applied himself diligently to his trade, in which art he
stands among the foremost. He was married August 26, 1877, to Miss
Nettie Dennison. By this union they have one son, William Arthur.
