Biographical Sketch of Harry Keene, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO

Harry Keene, of the firm of H. Keene & Co., manufacturers and bottlers
of soda and vinegar. Mr. Keene is a native of Bristol, England, and
came to the United States in 1864. After residing in Chicago for a
time, he took up his abode in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1866. For ten
years he was employed on the Kansas City, St. Joseph & Council Bluffs
Railroad, as engineer; also, for a time, was engaged in the restaurant
business. In 1878, he commenced his present trade, which is the one of
the largest of the kind in the Northwest. He is a Mason, belonging to
the Royal Arch Chapter and Commandery. His wife was formerly Miss
Elizabeth Dunstan.
