Biographical Sketch of F. K. Knapp, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO

F. K. Knapp, dealer in hardware, furniture and queensware, was born
in Nashville, Tennessee, March 18, 1853. F. K. Knapp, his father,
was an early settler of Buchanan County, coming here in 1854. Our
subject was here raised and educated. For a number of years he was
engaged in the marble trade with his father, and also conducted a
jewelery store and engaged in the present business, in 1877. He
carries a complete stock in his line, being favorably known in town
and throughout the county, he commands a large trade. F. K. Knapp,
Sr., was one of the pioneer marble men of the county, and was prom-
inent among its business men to the time of his death, in 1874.
