Biographical Sketch of Trutpert Pfefferle, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** Trutpert Pfefferle was born in Baden, Germany, July 27, 1844, and received a common school education. He is what might be truly called a self made man. He emigrated to America May 4, 1866, and came imm- ediately to St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a stone mason by trade, and in the winter worked for the New Ulm Distillery. In 1871 he started in business for himself. He was married May 15, 1873, to Miss Sophia Miller, who was born in Switzerland. They have three little girls.
