Biographical Sketch of William Tibbetts, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO

William Tibbetts, of the firm of John Tibbetts & Son, contractors and
builders. A well known builder of this city, and one who is deserving
of special mention, is Mr. John Tibbetts. The city hall, and many of
the imposing edifices in the city are specimens of his work. William,
the subject of this sketch, was born in New York City, December 22,
1859. He was raised to manhood and educated in St. Joseph. He also
became proficient in the trade of building brick structures and as a
manager and contractor. Mr. John Tibbetts located here in 1860, and
few contractors have contributed as much to the upbuilding of the city.
Tibbetts & Son are thoroughly skilled workmen and have a large trade.
