Biographical Sketch of George Williamson, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** George Williamson, horse-shoer, was born in this county October 18, 1858 and was here principally raised. His father, George W., was among the early settlers and is well known. In 1872 the subject of this sketch went to Kansas, where he learned the blacksmithing trade. In 1878 he opened a shop in St. Joseph, Missouri. His superior skill as a workman has given him an enviable reputation, and he does a very large business.
