Biographical Sketch of Robert Womach, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** Robert Womach, was born in Buchanan County, Missouri, January 1, 1852. He lived on a farm till he was twelve years of age, when he went with his father, William Womach, who was very successful in the freighting business, to Denver, Colorado, where he attended school and received a good education. Returning from Colorado, he first engaged in the drug business in DeKalb with Dr. Rose, a practicing physician of that town. He afterwards moved to St. Joseph, where he embarked in the grocery trade, which he still continues successfully to conduct.
