Biographical Sketch of Henry Zondler, St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO >From "History of Buchanan County, Missouri, Published 1881, St. Joseph Steam Printing Company, Printers, Binders, Etc., St. Joseph, Missouri. ********************************************************************** Henry Zondler, dealer in wines, liquors and cigars, was born in Wurt- emberg, Germany July 20, 1843, and was there reared and learned the shoemaker's trade. In 1867, he came to the United States, locating temporarily in different places and working at his trade, until 1869, when he took up his abode in St. Joseph, Missouri. In 1870, he opened a shop and was engaged in the manufacture of boots and shoes until the spring of 1881, when he engaged in his present business. On May 3, 1870, Miss Mary Michalke became his wife. They have three children: Henry, Charles and Eda.
