Timmerman, assistant manager of the Chamber of Commerce, left yesterday afternoon for his former home in Lincoln, Neb., to spend Christmas day. He was accompanied by Mrs. Timmerman and their son, Douglas Timmerman Jr. Mr. And Mrs. Hale Judson and Mr. And E.P. Maupin, all former residents of St. Joseph, suffered minor injuries Sunday in a motor car accident near Los Angeles. The car in which they were riding was wrecked. Mr. Maupin is a former Buchanan County auditor and Mr. Judson is a former St. Joseph engineer. Roscoe V. Hill, Buchanan County farm agent, will be the principal speaker at a luncheon of the Co-operative Club Tuesday noon at the St. Francis Hotel. His subject will be "From One Dirt Farmer to Another." W.M. Stuessi, 56 years old, suffered a concussion of the brain, but no skull fracture when he fell Thursday night on Noyes Boulevard near Edmond Street, an x-ray examination at Missouri Methodist Hospital revealed yesterday. His condition last night was satisfactory. The condition of Mrs. Nannie Brewster, in St. Joseph's Hospital suffering from pneumonia, remained critical last night. John M. Branson, a student at the Curtiss-Wright Technical Institute of Aeronautics, Glendale, Cal., is spending the Christmas holidays with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. C.S. Branson. Mr. And Mrs. Hutton Schnaitman of Des Moines arrived last night to spend Christmas and Sunday with Mrs. Schnaitman's mother, Mrs. Cavan Wyatt, and Mr. Schnaitman's parents, Mr. And Mrs. G.A. Schnaitman. Joseph A. Tapee of New York is visiting his mother, Mrs. Catherine Tapee, and his brother, John H. Tapee, and family. Mr. And Mrs. O.A. Bradford, and Mr. And Mrs. Albert Roster will go to Kansas City, Kansas to spend Christmas and Sunday with Mr. And Mrs. Henry Conrady. Dr. and Mrs. E.B. McAdow of DeKalb will leave this morning to motor to Miami, Fla., to spend two months. Mr. And Mrs. Edward Wilkie of Kansas City announce the birth of a daughter, born yesterday morning in Kansas City. Mrs. Wilkie is a daughter of Mrs. M.V. Powell. Mrs. Lula Norris, and her daughter, Mrs. Gussie Daniels, have returned from a three month trip to California. The Rev. W. Edward Purdy, pastor of Mitchell Park Christian Church, will broadcast a Christmas sermonet over radio station KFEQ at 2:45 this afternoon. His subject will be "Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men."
