BUTLER COUNTY MISSOURI  harwell cemetery Copyright 1997, 2001 by Betty Hanks and Terry McLean, tmclean@earthlink.net. ) HARWELL CEMETERY (Old) (#100) T26N R6E SEC 29 Map #3?? Just north of the present day community of Wilby, west of O Hwy, and next to the railroad tracks, this cemetery is indicated on the USGS map without a name. [Not to be confused with the WHITWORTH/Harwell/Deaton Cemetery that is north east of this location. While it is indicated as HARWELL on the USGS map, it is more commonly known locally as the WHITWORTH Cemetery]. Catherine Sparks, whose family has been the area for many years, states that the cemetery at this location was the old HARWELL cemetery, and those buried here are some of her ancestors. Several years ago family members recorded the only two stones left that could be found with even faintly legible inscriptions. HARWELL, Edwin S.
