Mrs. Auvenshine was born Jan. 28, 1909, in Formosa, Ark., and lived in Butler County for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She formerly attended Broseley Church of Christ and later attended Highland Drive Church of Christ until her health failed. She was a homemaker and helped her husband farm in the Broseley and Fisk area. On Dec. 26, 1927, she married Marvin Olen Auvenshine in Clinton, Ark. He preceded her in death March 12, 1970. Survivors include one son, Dr. C. Dwight Auvenshine and wife Alice of Lexington, Ky.; one daughter, Muriel Woolard and husband Robert of Wappapello; four grandchildren, Michael Woolard and Deborah Young, both of Broseley, Stephen Auvenshine of Paris, Ky., and Jennifer Salsman of Lexington; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lou Tishie Lowe. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff. ------------------------- ------------------------- Delbert Smith Aged 54, Dies; Funeral Tuesday Delbert Loyd Smith, age 54, merchant of 113 South C, died Sunday morning at the Brandon Hospital after being ill some time. He was born in St. Louis Dec. 23, 1907. He was married to Agnes Scott in St. Louis May 20, 1927. He was store manager for J. D. Edmundson for several years. worked at the Poplar Bluff Drug Store for some five years. He leaves the widow, Anges Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Billie Ruth Gant of Dudley; three aunts, Mrs. rose Ingle, West Memphis, Ark. Mrs Ira Womac of Fort Smith; Mrs J. H. Mayberry of Broseley; an uncle, T. H. Smith of Broseley. Funeral services will be at 2 Tuesday afternoon at White Funeral Chapel in Fisk, the Rev. C. B. Thomas officiating. Clack, 64, of Broseley died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare-South Campus in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Clack was born March 21, 1938, in Broseley, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Black River General Baptist Church and was retired from the Poplar Bluff Regional Center. She enjoyed crafts and traveling. On March 10, 1957, she married Fredrick Dale Clack in the Black River General Baptist Church. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Thomas Dale Clack of Fairgrove; two daughters, Cheryl Acre of Fisk and Sheila Leutert of Qulin; one brother, Bob Gallamore of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Betty Ellsworth of Broseley and Velta Dickey of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Aaron and Todd Acre of Fisk and Shayna Leutert of Qulin; and one great-grandchild, Austin. She was preceded in death by Tom and Elsie Gallamore. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at the White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wayne Foust officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hall Hubert Burton Hubert Burton Hall, 93, of Qulin, Missouri died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Hall was born Dec. 29, 1908, in Dyersburg, Tenn. He was a member and trustee of the Qulin Trinity Pentecostal Church and was a retired farmer. On Sept. 26, 1936, he married Pauletta Scott in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death Jan. 8, 1980. Survivors include three sons, Burlin Sanders and wife Beverly of Louisiana, Charles Hall and wife Marilyn of Ellisville and Brandon Hall of St. Louis; three daughters, Louise Hefner and husband John of Woodson Terrace, Iris Hall of Qulin and Sharon Hall of Lebanon; one brother, Tom Hall of Qulin; two sisters, Hazel Scott and Myra Luepke, both of Poplar Bluff; 16 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Bethel D. Hall; one daughter, Jancie Metcalf; one brother; and four sisters. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Kinley Dunscombe and Pastor Mike Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Qulin Cemetery ------------------------------------------------------ LOLA PAULINE HUDSON Lola Pauline Hudson, daughter of William Ernest Lawrey and Sarah Florida Wheeler - Lawrey, passed from this life Friday, May 10, 2002, at age of 89. She was born Sept, 16, 1912, in Lake City Arkansas. Pauline was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors, gardening, flowers, and fishing. Pauline was a 50 year member of the Oglesville Baptist chruch, having joined the church on August 19, 1951, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Newburg MO. Chapter 243, since 1990. Pauline is survived by four sons, William Hudson and wife Mary, of Newburg MO., Eulas Hudson and wife Patricia of Cahokia, Illinois, Cleatis Hudson, of Newburg MO., and Bobby Wayne Hudson, of Victorville California; and two daughters, Della Clark of Newburg MO., and Naomi (Norma Grace Norman and husband Bobby Joe , of Wappapello, MO., a step-daughter, Evelyn Williams and husband Hubert, of DeWitt, Arkansas; two sisters, Wanda Carson, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, ans Maxine Reese and husband Tressie, of Black Rock, Arkansas; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Pauline Hudson will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2002, at the Teague and Sons Funeral Home in Newburg. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Muzzy, 754 Harriet St., age 83, died Monday, August 4, 1958, at the residence. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, August, 6, 1958. from Rose Chapel, Algoe-Gundry Mortuary, Rev. Marshall Hoyt officiating. Burial in Grace Lawn Cemetery, She was born in Ellenburg New York, Oct. 1, 1874, the daughter of Adolph and Cornelia Seymour, and had resided in Flint since 1910. She was a member of Oak Park Methodist Church, Fullmore Circle of Oak Park, life member of Flint Chapter NO 138 OES and was past noble grand of Genesee Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are 3 sisters. Oden Coats will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- EVERTT, Louis Louis Edward Evertt, 71, year old Fisk area farmer and resident of Butler County most of his life, died at the Poplar Bluff Hospital this morning. He was born in Ohio, March 8, 1891 and married Eve Branch in Poplar Bluff September 2, 1911. She died last August 30. Survivors include three sons, Willis Harmon of California, Virgle Harmon o fWest Union, Ill., and Charles Evertt of St. Charles, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs Ruby Woodard of St. Louis, Mrs Alene Gambil of Fisk, Mrs. Mayme Dillon of St. Louis and Mrs. Charlotte Crafford of Fisk; 25 grand children, 37 great-grand-children; two sister, Mrs. Bill King of Poplar bluff and Mrs Murl Gooddard of Doniphan and one half-sisters, Mrs. Bulah Landcaster of St. Louis. The Rev. W.T.White will officiate at funeral services to be held at the Ash Hill General Baptist Church at 2 Monday afternoon, with burial in the Shain Memorial Cemetery, White services.
