FAR WEST GRAVEYARD, Caldwell Co., MO (MORMON) Mirabile Township -- Section 9 & 10, Township 56, Range 29 Exact location unknown The second oldest cemetery in Caldwell County, Missouri is the Mormon Cemetery west of the old town of Far West. It is thought to have contained two hundred graves, but records of only four of the dead have been kept. The gravestones have disappeared and the fields have been under cultivation. CARTER, Gideon, d. Oct. 1838 O'BANION. Patrick, d. Oct. 1838 PACK, George PATTON, Captain David, d. Oct. 1838 STOKER, Michael, d. 1838 Carter, O'Banion & Patton were killed in the Crooked River Battle and listed along with Pack by Bertha Booth in 1939 in her cemetery listings.
