PAXTON FAMILY GRAVEYARD, Caldwell Co., MO Mirabile Township -- Section 27, Township 56, Range 29 Located: 1.6 mile north of Mirabile on D, east side of road behind the Paxton House. The Paxton farm in Mirabile Township contained an old burying ground, possibly, used as a slave cemetery in the early days. From records of Elmer E. Clark, it states that most of the graves in the Paxton-Kemper lot at Highland Cemetery at Hamilton were moved from the old Paxton plantation graveyard in Mirabile Township.
