SHOAL CREEK SETTLEMENT GRAVEYARD, Caldwell Co., MO
Kingston Township -- Section 22, Township 56, Range 28

Located:  These graves lie 1/2 mile east of Kingston and have have long 
since been plowed over.  
This is the oldest cemetery in the county.


COUTS, Miralda Jane, child of Abraham Couts,  d. 1832
    Another child of Abraham Couts,

VANDERPOOL, Child of Thomas,
    Thomas,

Miralda Couts burned to death when clothing caught fire in the fall of 
1832.   

Thomas Vanderpool was accidently shot by his father Rev. Winant 
Vanderpool an Old School Baptist preacher.
