Urban Van Stewart was baptized in Log Creek, near Far West on 15 July 1836. Elisha Averett was living on Steve Creek near Far West in 1836 and his twin, Elijah Averett, was living on Shoal Creek, two miles from Far West in the Spring of 1837. Levi Stewart (my direct line) is living at a place called Narrowbone, afterward Ambrosia in Davis county. A Ethyl Lillian Rigdon Henderson was born in Daviess county in or about 1892. Henderson is her adopted name. Her brother's name was Earl Henderson. Ethyl married Walter H. Place in 1911 in Daviess county. Children of Ethyl and Walter Place; Thomas Richard, Lola Vila, and Erma Frances, Ethyl's second husband, Ira Campbell. They had three children: Ira Alvin Campbell, Elbert Marshall Campbell and Mary Jane Campbell. The Aronhalts married abt. 1890 to 1900 and div abt. 1904-1905. Any chance of finding out whether Samual was wanted for a possible murder in approx 1904-5? He also reportedly kidnapped their two children, Page and Lodema Aronhalt, and fled to Arkansas. Also his cousin, Edmund Aronhalt of Coshocton, Ohio, is reported to be buried in Caldwell county. One of ther children, Lodema b. 1857 in NH, married a Samuel Aronhalt in Caldwell county. Rumor has it that Cornelius was a large rancher in that county. He and possibly his wife are buried there. Samuel disappeared with the two children of he and Mary Lodema (a boy named Page and dau. Lodema) about 1902 or 1903. According to the obituary there were six or seven children. What happened to the family after the death of John? Baker migrated from Jefferson county, Iowa about 1880. I have been trying to locate the family of his 2nd ggrandmother Lodusky Jane Cummins. She married Benjamin Franklin Adams (known as Frank) in Ray in 1859, but don't know if she came from there. Joseph was born in Washington county, VA and married Jean Gray there. The family left Virginia after the 1840 census. In 1841, Joseph's son Thomas died in southern Illinois. Joseph brought the widow, Anna Frances McClelland Gray and her two boys to Caldwell county with him. Joseph Gray received a patent from the Lexington land office 1/14/1842 for the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec. 33 T56 R28. His will was probated in Caldwell county 28 March 1864, and heirs were named as: Samuel Gray, daughter Sally Carr, Jane Gray, wife of James Gray, Mary Statzer, William Gray, Elizabeth Mumpower, Nelson Gray and grandsons Thomas and William Gray sons of deceased son Thomas. I would like to hear from any descendants of this particular family. Nelson's wife was named Louisiana V. Brown (widow of Thomas Gray, and wife of Daniel Porter Brown, a daughter in law Aramintha McClelland, grandsons Joseph D. McClelland, William S. McClelland, and Albert G. He was the son of George Burkill Adams and Bertha (Dillon) Adams. George was the son of Peter Adams and Martha (Eldridge) Adams who came to America in 1855. Peter and Martha settled first in Locke Berlin, NY and then moved to Missouri. I have most the information on the Adams family, however, am looking for information on Bertha Dillon. I know she was the daughter of Henry Dillon and Emmaline (Galpin) Dillon. Henry was born 14 Feb. 1843? near Sunbury, OH. I do not have any information on Henry's ancestors.
