Probate Court Record Book B, page 59l-592
Friday, 20th, November, l840

     It is ordered by the Court that James K. Sheley be
appointed Guardian for William McLaughlin infant orphan 
of McLaughlin, Deceased under the age of fourteen years, 
whereupon he came into Court and accepted the
appointment of Guardian as aforesaid, and it appearing 
to the Court that the said infant has no estate, It is 
ordered that said guardian be execused from entering 
into bond as directed by law.

Tuesday, 29th, March, l842

     It is ordered by the Court that James B. Moorebe
appointed Guardian for Alexander McLaughlin, John 
McLaughlin and Benjamin McLaughlin infant orphans of
McLaughlin, Deceased under the age of fourteen years.
Whereupon he came into Court and accepted the 
appointment of Guardian aforesaid and it appearing to 
the Court that said Infant orphans have no estate, It 
is ordered that said Guardian be excused from entering 
into bond as the law directs.

     It is ordered by the Court that the Clerk of this 
Court deliver to James K. Sheley the Guardian of William 
D. McLaughlin the Indenture entered into by him and 
Martin Key binding the said William to said Key, and 
that Sheley be released from said Guardianship.
