Carroll County, Missouri Obituary - Anderson, Everett T. d. May 25, 1972 Source: Daily Democrat Carrollton, MO May 26, 1972 page 1 Everette Anderson Died In Chillicothe Everett T. Anderson, 78, a resident of the Roads community, and a brother of Arthur Anderson of Carrollton, died early Thursday at the Chillicothe City Hospital where he had been a patient for the past month. He was born in Carroll County at Roads February 1894, the son of Edward G. and Sarah Belle Leonard Anderson. He attended the Roads schools and Norborne high school. He was a retired farmer at the time of his death, having farmed all of his life. In 1924, he was married to Merle Johnson. She died in 1937 and in June of 1948, he was married to Opal Burress. She preceded him in death in 1963. Besides his brother Arthur, of Carrollton, he is survived by another brother, C. O. Anderson, Glendale, Arizona, a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Crawford, Winterset, IA and nine nieces and nephews. Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church at Roads where funeral services in his memory will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 2 pm. The Rev. A. W. Michael will officiate and burial will be in Low Gap cemetery. The Dickerson-Rice Funeral Home at Bogard is in charge of arrangements and the body will lie in state there after 10 am Friday.
