December 16, 1977 Source: Carrollton Record Carrollton, MO Wednesday 21 December 1977 Naught, Ed - Obit Everett "Ed" William Naught Everett "Ed" William Naught, 65, of RFD 2 Carrollton, died Friday, Dec.16 at Kelling's Hospital in Waverly. Mr. Naught was born 26 Feb 1912 in Cherokee, KS, the son of William and Mertie Wheeler Naught. He was married to the former Ruth Staton 27 August 1938 in Lexington. Mr. Naught had lived in the Carrollton area for 50 years, working on farms and at Banquet Foods before his retirement. Survivors include his wife of the home; a sister, Mrs. Zelma Miller, RFD 2 Carrollton, MO; a brother, Seamer Naught, RFD 2, Carrollton, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 pm Sunday at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton by the Rev. Carl Cowick. Burial was in Adkins Cemetery.
