Carroll County, Missouri Obituary - Naught, William Azell d. October 26, 1953 Source: Carrollton Republican Record Friday 30 Oct 1953 Naught, William Azell - Obit William A. Naught Died Here Monday William A. Naught, Wakenda, died Monday morning at 1:30 at the Wetzel hospital. Mr. Naught, 73, had been ill for several months and underwent surgery about three weeks ago. The son of Charles and Sara (Hogbin) Naught, he was born 18 September 1880, at Mandeville. With the exception of a short while spent in Kansas he lived his entire life in Carroll county and recently made his home at Wakenda. 28 February 1906, he was married to Mertie Wheeler who survives at the home. Mr. Naught also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Zelma Miller, Wakenda; three sons, Seamon, Everett and Charles Naught of Wakenda; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. One son who died in infancy, two brothers and a half brother preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Wakenda Church of Christ.
