Mary Magdalena Theener Schroeder
Magdalena Theener Schroeder was born Febr. 3, 1868, at Breese, Ill. On April 
7, 1890, she was united in marriage to August Schroeder and to this union 
there were born four children; August, Jr., Walter, Stella and Bertha. Other 
than her husband and children she leaves to mourn her passing three sisters, 
Mrs. Fred Unnewehr, Mrs. George Gronefeld of Harrisonville; Mrs. John 
Schroeder of near Carrollton and four brothers, Geo., Edd and Henry Theener of 
Harrisonville; John Theener of Filer, Ida., 4 grandchildren, Mamie Mallee of 
Independence, Howard and Freda Kugler of Braymer, and Charles Walter Schroeder 
of Independence.
Mrs. Schroeder was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Church in Norborne until 
it was disbanded and (she) then moved her membership to the Methodist Church, 
during the pastorate of Rev. W. B. Corder. She was a regular attendant at the 
services of the church, and in every way a faithful and devout Christian woman.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Saturday afternoon with 
Rev. C. A. Bowles officiating. Interment was made at Fairhaven cemetery.
