Carroll County, Missouri Obituary - Turpin, Elizabeth d. February 8, 1929 Source: Turpin, Elizabeth - Obit OBITUARY Elizabeth Dulaney Turpin, daughter of W. P. and Frances Dulaney, was born September 25, 1867 on the farm of her parents, 3 miles southwest of Hale, Mo., where she grew to young womanhood. She passed away at the Bethany Hospital, in Kansas City, Kansas, Feb 8, 1929 having attained the age of 61 years, 4 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to John P. Turpin on April 11, 1888 at the home of her parents. To this union were born Roma Turpin Wood of Malta Bend, Mo., and Floyd Turpin of Kansas City, Mo., who with the husband and five grandchildren survive her. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Olivia R. Shaeffer of Hale and five brothers, W. P. and S. J. of Slater, Mo., C. C. of Hale, J. C. of Winfield, Kansas and J. K. of Kansas City. One brother B. C. having preceded her. Mrs. Turpin united with the Christian church of Hale when a young girl and has ever since been an active worker in the church. For the past several years she and her husband have resided in Kansas City, Mo., and were residents of that city at the time of her passing away. Funeral services were held in Kansas City and the body shipped to Hale Sunday, arriving on the Burlington at 2:30 p.m. a short service was held at the Christian church conducted by Rev.
