January 25, 1970 Source: Daily Record Bogard, MO 26 Jan 1970 Wheeler, Frances Joy - Obit Mrs. Eddie A Wheeler, 69, of Bogard died Sunday afternoon at 4:55 pm at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Her death was attributed to heart ailment. Frances Joe Wheeler, daughter of Frank and Samantha Wheeler was born 7 Sept 1900 at Stillwater, OK. She grew to womanhood in Stillwater and was educated in schools there. She has been a resident of Carroll County the last 39 years. In 1916 at Stillwater she was married to Eddie A. Wheeler, who survives at the Bogard home. The surviving children of their union are: James E. Wheeler, Gresham, WI; Vernie Lee Wheeler, San Antonio, TX; Eugene Wheeler, Carrollton; Mrs. Kathryn Cowick, Bogard; Mrs. Peggy King, Kansas City and Mrs. Opal Logan, Carrollton. Preceding Mrs. Wheeler in death were these children: Evelyn Wheeler, Franklin D. Wheeler, Babe Franklin Wheeler, Samantha Wheeler, and ruby Warren. She also predeceased two sisters: Eva Wheeler and Alice Wheeler, and a brother, Don Wheeler. A member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Mrs. Wheeler further leave 34 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. The body was removed to the Gibson Funeral Home. Requiem mass will be at 10:00 Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Cornelius Cleary of Norborne officiating. Burial is to be in the Adkins Cemetery near Wakenda.
