Williams, of Tina, who was dangerously burned August 20, by the explosion of gasoline, died from the effects of the burns, Friday night, September 12. She has suffered a hundred deaths since the injuries were sustained, and doubtless death was a welcome relief to her. She had the best care and medical attention, but human skill was unavailing. At the time Mrs. Williams received her injuries her husband was badly burned in trying to save her. He has not yet fully recovered and is in a critical condition. Ten days ago it became apparent that Mrs. Williams would not survive her injuries, and her son, Clay Williams, and his wife, who was formerly Miss Allie Fulcher, of Cherry Valley, were sent for and arrived from Prescott, Arizona before the death of his mother. Mrs. Williams was born and reared in Saline county, and while living there was married to Mr. Williams. After their marriage they moved to Houstonia, where they lived for a number of years. About 1904 they moved to Tina where they have since resided. The body was taken to Houstonia, Saturday afternoon, and was laid to rest Sunday.
