This deed made and entered into this 12th day of December in the year of our 
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty Seven by and between Nancy Caudell 
of the first part and James C. Cook of the Second part witnesseth that the 
Said party of the first part for and in consideration of the Sum of one 
hundred dollars to her in hand paid by the Said party of the Second part the 
receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted bargained 
and Sold and do by these presents grant Bargain and Sell unto the said party 
of the Second part & his heirs and assigns forever the following described 
tract or parcel of Land Situated in the county of Cedar and State Missouri, to 
wit, the undivided one tenth part of the north East quarter of Section No. 
Twenty Two in Township No. thirty four of Range No. Twenty Six Suposed to 
contain about Sixteen acres more or less to have and to hold the above 
Described parcel of Land unto the Said Jas. C. Cook his heirs and assigns 
forever and the party of the first part hereby covenanting that She her heirs 
Executors and administrators will forever warrant and defend the title to Said 
Sold? and described as aforesaid unto the Said party of the Second part his 
heirs and assigns against Lawful claim or claims of all persons whatsoever 
claiming the same or any part thereof.  In Testimony whereof the Said party of 
the first part have hereunto her hand and Seal the day and date above written.

Be it Remembered that on this 12th day of December AD 1857 personally appeared 
before the undersigned Judge of the probate Court within and for Said County 
Nancy Caudell who is personally known to me to be the person whose name is 
Subscribed to the foregoing deed and acknowledged the Same to be her act and 
deed for the purposes therein mentioned.
