Know all men by these presents that I Sampson Cordell of the county of Cedar 
and State of Missouri for and in consideration of the Sum of fifty dollars to 
me in hand paid by John Swingle the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, 
Have this day granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant 
bargain Sell and convey and confirm unto the Said John Swingle his heirs and 
assigns forever the following described tract or parcel of land Situate in the 
county of Cedar and State of Missouri (To wit) The SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of 
Section No. 19 in Township No. 34 of Range No. 25 containing 40 acres  more or 
less.  To have and to hold the Same together with all the privileges and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging.  And I the Said Sampson Cordell do covenant 
to and with the Said John Swingle his heirs and assigns forever that I will 
forever warrant and defend the title to Said premises unto Said John Swingle 
his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of all persons.  In 
witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this 10th day of November 
AD 1857.

Be it remembered that on this 10th day of November AD 1857 personally appeared 
before the undersigned Judge of the Probate Court in and for said County 
Samson Cordell who is personally known to me to be the person whose name is 
Subscribed to the foregoing deed and acknowledged the Same to be his act and 
deed for the purposes therein mentioned.
