Know all men by these presents that I Sampson Cordell of the County of Cedar 
in the State of Missouri for and in consideration of the Sum of four hundred 
dollars to me in hand paid by John H. Oldham of the County and State 
aforesaid, the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have this day granted 
bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain Sell and convey unto 
the Said John H. Oldham his heirs and assigns forever, the following described 
real Estate Situate in the County of Cedar in the State of Missouri to wit, 
The North west quarter of the North East quarter of Section No. 25 in Township 
No. 34 Range No. 26 containing 40 acres more or less.  To have and to hold the 
Same together will all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto.  And I the 
Said Sampson Cordell do covenant to and with the Said John H. Oldham That I 
will forever warrant and defend the title to the premises hereby conveyed unto 
the Said John H. Oldham and unto his heirs and assigns forever against the 
lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.

Be it Remembered that on this the 24th day of February AD 1858 personally 
appeared before the undersigned Justice of the peace within and for Said 
County Sampson Cordell who is personally known to me to be the person whose 
name is Subscribed to the foregoing deed as having executed the Same and 
acknowledged the Same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein 
mentioned.  Given under my hand this the 24th day of February AD 1858.
