Kennedy of the County of Pueblo and State of Colorado party of the first part, and Thomas J. Pyle of the County of Cedar and State of Missouri party of the second part: Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Eighty Dollars, to me paid by said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do, by these presents, Remise, Release, and forever Quit-Claim unto the said party of the second part, the following described lots, tracts or parcels of land, lying, being and situate in the County of Cedar and State of Missouri, to-wit: Part of the North west qr. of the North East qr. of Section No. (20) Twenty Township No. (33) thirty three in Range No (27) Twenty seven containing (35) Thirty five acres, To have and to hold the same, with all the rights, immunities, privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, unto the said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither the said party of the first part, nor his heirs, nor any other person or persons, for him or in his name or behalf, shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises, or any part thereof, but they and every of them, shall, by these presents, be excluded and forever barred. In Witness Whereof, The said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. James L. Kennedy ( Seal) Signed, Sealed and Delivered in presence of Geo. H. Hobson State of Colorado County of Pueblo, SS. Be it Remembered, That on this Fourteenth day of June A.D. 1879, before the undersigned, a County Clerk & Ex Officio Recorder within and for the County of Pueblo & State aforesaid, personally came James L. Kennedy who is personally known to me to be the same person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing Instrument of writing as a party thereto, and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. And the said James L. Kennedy further declared himself to be single and unmarried. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official seal, in my office in Pueblo, Colorado, the day and year first above written. Geo. H.
