Know all men by these presence that Lucinda Rowden of the County of Cedar and 
State of Missouri for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars to me 
in hand paid by Malisa Adaline Swingle the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath this day granted bargained and sold and by these presence do 
grant bargain sell and convey to the said Malisa Adaline Swingle the following 
described tract or parcel of land to wit Twenty Acres of the South East of the 
NE qr. of the NE qr. of section 26 Township 34 of Range 26 to have and to hold 
the same together with all the privileges and appertenances there to and I the 
said Lucinda Rowden bind myself and my heirs and Executors and Administrators 
to warrant and defend the title to said Malisa Adaline Swingle to her heirs 
and assigns forever against any claims that may be put against said Tract or 
parcel of land in testimony whereof I have assigned my name and affixed my 
seal this 27th day of August 1864.

Be it remembered that Lucinda Rowden who is personally known to the 
undersigned a justice of the peace within and for said County to be the person 
whose name is subscribed to the within Deed as a party thereto this day 
appeared before me and acknowledged that she Executed and delivered the same 
as her voluntary act and Deed for the use and purpose therein contained.
Given under my hand this August 27th 1864.
