Know all Men by the Presents, That I Josiah Swingle of the County of Jasper in 
the State of Missouri, have this day, for and in consideration of the sum of 
One hundred & fifty Dollars, to the said Josiah Swingle in hand paid by Thos. 
P. York of the County of Cedar in the State of Missouri, granted, bargained 
and sold, and by these presents do Grant, Bargain and Sell, unto the said 
Thos. P. York, the following described Tracts or Parcels of Land, situate in 
the County of Cedar in the State of Missouri, that is to say:  The undivided 
one Eighth interest as heir at Law of John Swingle deceased of in and to the 
west half of the North West qr. of Section No. (24) Twenty four and the East 
half of the North East qr. of Section (23) Twenty three in township No. (34) 
Thirty four Range No. Twenty Six (26) containing 160 acres undivided.  To have 
and to hold the premises hereby conveyed with all the Rights, Privileges and 
Appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining, unto the said 
Thos. P. York his heirs and assigns forever; I, the said Josiah Swingle hereby 
covenanting to and with the said Thos. P. York his heirs and assigns, for 
himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and defend the 
title to the premises hereby conveyed, against the claim of every person 
whatsoever.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal 
this 17th day of December 1873.

County of Cedar ) SS.  Be it remembered, That Josiah Swingle who is personally 
known to the undersigned, a Cir. Court Clk, within and for said County, to be 
the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing Deed as a party thereto, 
this day appeared before me, and acknowledged that he executed and delivered 
the same as his voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein 
contained.
