This deed made and concluded this twenty sixth day of March in the year of our
Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty three by and between John F. Chrane and Helene
Chrane, his wife, of the county of Chariton and State of Missouri of the one
part and Edw'd B. Cabell of the said county of Chariton and State aforesaid of
the other part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, for and in
consideration of the sum of Three Hundred dollars current money of the United
States the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the said party of the
second part from the payment of the same forever acquitted and discharged, hath
given, granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and, and doth by these presents,
grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, his
heirs, and assigns forever the following described Lot, piece or parcel of
Ground situated in and near Keytesville in the County of Chariton and State of
Missouri, viz: 
Beginning at the South east corner of said lot running North 25 west 50 poles 16
links to a stake, from which is a white oak bearing west 12 inches in Diameter
marked 2 notches, thence north 65 west, 12 poles, 16 links to a stake from which
a white oak marked 3 notches 24 inches in diameter bearing south 22 East 22
links, thence south 25 west 50 poles 16 links to a stake, from which a white oak
bearing north 65 East 20 inches in diameter, 6 links, thence north 25 East 12
poles 17 links to the beginning, containing four acres, the same being included
in the West half of the South West quarter of section thirty three, township
fifty four North in Range Eighteen, west of the fifty principal meridian. To
have and to hold the above described tract, Lot and parcel of ground with all
and singular the rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining unto him the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever; and the said party of the first part for themselves, their heirs,
executors, administrators and assigns doth covenant and agree to and with the
said party of the second part, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns,
to warrant and forever defend the same against the claim or claims of all and
every person or persons whomsoever unto him, the said party of the second part,
his heirs and assigns.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said party of the first part have hereunto set his
hands and seals the day and year above written.

Be it remembered that on this thirty first day of May in the year of our Lord
Eighteen Hundred and thirty three before me the undersigned, a Justice of the
Peace in and for said County, personally came John F. Chrane and Helene Chrane,
his wife, both personally known to me to be the persons whose names are
subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing as having executed the same
and severally acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purposes
therein mentioned. She, the said Helene Chrane, being by me first made
acquainted with the contents thereof and examined separate and apart from her
husband whether she executed the said deed and relinquished her dower to the
said lands and tenements therein mentioned voluntarily, freely and without
compulsion or undue influence of her said husband, acknowledged and declared
that she executed the said deed and relinquished her dower to the said land,
lots and tenements therein mentioned, voluntarily, freely and without compulsion
or undue influence of her said husband.
Taken and certified on this same day and year first herein above written. Given
under my hand this thirty first day of May 1833.
