Chrane of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred dollars current money of the United States the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said party of the second part from the payment of the same forever acquitted and discharged, hath given, granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and doth by these presents, give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs, and assigns forever, the following described tract of land, situated in the said County of Chariton and State of Missouri, aforesaid, being the south East quarter of section numbered twenty four of Township fifty five North, in Range Eighteen West of the fifth principal Meredian, containing one hundred and sixty acres. To have and to hold the above described tract of land, with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said party of the second part, his [line may be missing] and the said party of the first part for themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, doth covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to warrant and forever defend the said land, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, unto him the said party of the first part, his heirs and to his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said party of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written. In the presence of us E.B. Cabell John Winn (Seal) Rebecca (X her mark) Winn (Seal) State of Missouri ) ) ss County of Chariton) Be it remembered that on this twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and thirty three, before me the undersigned, Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said County & State, Came John Winn and Rebecca Winn, his wife, who are personally known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing as having executed the same, and severally acknowledged the said instrument to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. She, the said Rebecca Winn, being by me first made acquainted with the contents thereof and examined separate and apart from her husband, whether she executed the said deed and relinquishes her dower to the said lands and tenements therein mentioned freely, voluntarily, and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband, acknowledged and declared that she executed the said deed and relinquishes her dower to the said lands and tenements therein mentioned, freely, voluntarily, and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband. Taken, certified and given under my hand & seal of office at office on this same day and year above herein written. Given under my hand this thirty first day of May 1833.
