N. C. Mosher Will, Chariton County, Missouri Will Book #2, p. 302-303. I am submitting my ggrandfather's will written in 1896, in Salisbury, Chariton County, MO. The following hand written will was found in the Chariton County, MO Will Book #2, Pages 302-303 and has been transcribed by Mira Nelson: I, Norman C. Mosher, of the County of Chariton in the State of Missouri, being of sound mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament. And whereas I am now in possession of the following described lots, tracts or parcels of land, situated in the County of Chariton and State of Missouri; to wit: eighty acres, being the west half of the southwest quarter of section one (1) and seventy acres, being a part of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section two (2) all in township fifty three range seventeen (17) also lots six (6) seven (7) and eight (8) in block eighteen (18) in the city of Salisbury, Missouri. And whereas there is a certain encumbrance on the above described farm lands, I direct, first, that my executors or administrators, shall use all and whatever of personal effects of my estate for the purpose of liquidating said debt together with all my just and honest debts whatsoever, and in the event that there shall not be sufficient of personal property for said purpose, they shall sell enough of said lands to pay off and discharge all such indebtedness. And as to the residue and remainder of my estate, be it real, personal or mixed, shall be used to the best advantage by my administrators, for the support of my beloved wife, Susan B. Mosher, during the period of her natural life, giving to her my dwelling house in which to live, and all things else necessary for her personal comfort. And after her decease, they shall proceed to sell and dispose of the whole of my estate to the best advantage and to divide the proceeds of such sale equally between my children viz: Charles C. Mosher, Mary J. Mosher Prescott, William Mosher, Paulina Mosher Reed, and Norman E. Mosher. And as a further provision, I direct that if one or more of said heirs can agree with, and purchase the rights and interests of the other heirs, so as to give perfect satisfaction, they may do so. And I herein appoint my sons William Mosher and Norman E. Mosher as my sole executors without bond of this my last will and testament.
