Our subject was united in marriage to Mary E. Hogan, daughter of Enoch and Catherine Hogan. Enoch died in 1884, and his widow is now living with our subject. He and Mrs. Beaird have two sons and two daughters: Myrtle, Ivy, Joel and Burel. The subject has lived upon his present farm of 120 acres for about ten years, during which time he has been engaged in farming and stock raising. He is identified with the Democratic party, and both he and his wife are members of the Baptist Church.
