Martin lawfully empowered by David Farmer and Rebecca Farmer his wife of Harlan County and State of Kentucky, and David Farmer lawfully empowered by John F. Howard of Lee County and State of Virginia of the first part and each lawfully empowered, and Adrian A.H. Howard of the second part all of the County of Clark and State of Missouri and all heirs at law of the estate of John N. Howard deceased late of the said County of Clark and State of Missouri. Witnesseth that the aforesaid parties of the first part for and inconsideration of the sum of one hundred dollars which is justly due to the said A.H. Howard of the second part by the aforesaid estate of John N. Howard deceased, hath bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and convey and confirm unto the said Adrian A.H. Howard all their right title claim or demand that they may have in to or upon in law or equity as heirs or legatees of the said John N. Howard decd. to the following described lands that the said John N. Howard decd. seiz and possessed of Twenty six acres and 32/100 of an acre of section nineteen, also forty two acres and 84/100 of an acre being the south half of Lot No. two of the south west quarter of Section nineteen all in township Sixty six north of the baseline Range No. Eight West of the fifth principal merdian containing in all according to public survey sixty nine acres and sixteen hundreths of an acre to the same more or less Together with all and singular the appurtenances those unto belonging as in anywise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Adrain A.H. Howard his heirs and assignees forever and the said parties of the first part the aforesaid promises unto Adrain A.H. Howard his heirs and assignees againest the claim or claims of all and every person claiming under by or through them do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in testimony whereof the parties of the first part. hath hereunto set our hand and seals this day and year first above written.
