WILLIAM P. HARTMAN Mrs. William Paul Hartman, who was Lucy May Black, daughter of Henry Lee and Ida M. Black, was born in Clark County, Missouri, on the 15th day of January, 1888, and departed this life on the 11th day of May, 1945, At the time of her death she was 57 years, 3 months and 26 days old. On the 15th day of Sept. 1910, she was married to William Paul Hartman. To this marriage four children were born, namely, Chester Lee, Cecil Edward, Francis Clidean and Margaret Lorine. In early life she united with the Christian church and remained a faithful member until death called her. Mr. and Mrs. Hartman spent their married life in Oklahoma. Mr. Hartman passed to the Great Beyond on the 17th day of November, 1924. After his death, Mrs. Hartman and her family moved to Wyaconda, where they have since resided. In the death of Mrs. Hartman, the county loses another one of its faithful women and a kind and indulgent mother. There remain to mourn her death two sons, Chester Hartman of Gorin, Mo; Cecil Hartman of Wyaconda, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Clidean Clough of Wyaconda; and Margaret Hartman of Lancaster, Ohio; five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Lester Rainey of Wyaconda, one brother, Albert Black of Denair, California, other relatives and a large number of friends. Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by her father and mother and one infant brother. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Wyaconda, Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Jas. M. Hull officiating. Interment was made in the New Woodville Cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. Phyllis Hutchinson and Mrs. Kenneth Fry, accompanied by Mrs. Cleo Wilson. The pallbearers were Alvin Clough, Raymond Hayden, Richard LaFrenz, Eugene Kurtz, Irving LaFrenz and Merton Hayden. Additional Comments: Note: When Mrs. Hartman returned from Oklahoma they lived in Kahoka for about a year. She then bought a home in Wyaconda at a Sheriff's sales. All of the pallbearers were related to Daniel Boon and Frances (Black) Hayden.
