Staples, Deceased Jun 2, 1852 of Cholera of which he was sick when he arrived here two days before his decease. Was born Jun 2, 1817 in Maine. Married and was a shoemaker. Additional Comments: Pleasant Hill is now known as "Shakertown" or "Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill" and is now a tourist attraction. Most likely was buried in the cemetery at Pleasant Hill. The deceased was found in the 1850 census in Clark Co, MO. with all his children being born in MO, hence the MO posting.
