The funeral was from the Catholic Church at Chambersburg Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, the services being conducted by Father Merschman (sp?)of Kahoka. The burial was in the cemetery near the church. Daniel O'Day was born in County Claire, Ireland. He came to this country early in life and to Clark county, Missouri in 1858. He was the earliest Irish settler in that part of the county. The surviving members of the family are John, Andrew, Michael and Daniel O'Day, Mrs. Wm O'Connell, and Miss Annie O'Day. The wife preceeded her husband to the tomb having passed away about two years ago.
