Reid, 2010 Know all Men by these Presents, that James Yates, as principal, and Stephen Yates, Charles Yates, Lewis Yates and Benedick Yates Jr. as security, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri in the full sum of Four Thousand Dollars: To the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Signed and sealed the 19th day of March, A.D., 1876. The condition of the above bond is, that if James Yates administrator of the estate of Benedick Yates Sr. deceased, shall faithfully administer said estate, account for, pay and deliver all money and property of said estate, and perform all other things touching said administration required by law, or the order or decree of any Court having jurisdiction, then the above bond to be void, otherwise to remain in full force. The affidavit of James Yates on application for Letters of Administration on the estate of Benedick Yates Sr. deceased, states to the best of his knowledge and belief, that the deceased died without a will, and left the following children, viz: Stephen Yates, Charles Yates, Lewis Yates, Benedick Yates Jr., and James Yates, Victoria Smith formerly Yates intermarried with John Smith, Louisa Yates (minor), Elizabeth Yates, and William Yates and the following grand children viz: Cornelia Fightmaster, and George Fightmaster, children of Mary Ann Fightmaster formerly Yates intermarried with John Fightmaster of Clay County, Missouri; and furthermore, that he will make a perfect inventory of, and faithfully administer all, the estate of the deceased, and pay the debts, as far as the assets will extend, and the law direct, and account for an pay all assets which shall come to his possession or knowledge.
