It is the burial place of many Kansas City and Clay county pioneers who migrated from Kentucky and Tennessee. Last year the county ran out of funds to keep the cemetery mowed, and the grass grew pretty high. We're hoping to organize a group of people who will help spruce up the cemetery this spring. I realize this is not a long-term solution, but "one step at a time". Already some people have expressed an interest in helping, and we met on April 11 at the Little Shoal Cemetery to see what needed to be done to keep the cemetery looking nice. If any of you are in the KC area, and would like to help, and your interested in this project, please contact me. I've listed below a few of the names on Little Shoal graves. Maybe you are connected to someone buried there. If you see a connection, and can pass along the word about this to your cousins and friends, it would sure be appreciated.
