Bivens, both of Clay. In this city, on the 31st of December, by Rev. D. Kennedy, Mr. Thomas Leonard to Miss Kate Hallissy, all of this county. Jan 12, 1865: On the 30th ult., by Elder Asa N. Bird, Geo. Brassfield, Esq., to Miss Lucy J. Dillingham, all of Clay county. On the 26th ult., in Howard county, by Rt. Rev. C.S. Hawks, D.D., gen. Odon Quitar to Miss Kate Leonard, daughter of the late Judge Abiel Leonard. Feb 23, 1866: In this county, on the 18th, at the residence of the bride’s father, by Eld. R.C. Morton, George Y. Nall, Esq., to Miss Elizabeth Baker, daughter of Josiah Baker, Esq., all of Clay county. “Oh, may their’s be a flowry path, And friends smile where they go, And not a cloud appear to mar Their joys, while here below.” On the 15th instant, at the residence of the bride’s father, mr. Williams, by Elder T. Montgomery, Dr. B.F. Records, of Gosneyville, Clay county, to Miss Martha B. Williams, of Platte county, Mo. Mar 9, 1866: On the 1st of March, 1866, by Elder William Warren, at the residence of the Bride’s father, Mr. S. Fines Collins, to Miss Nannie W. Brooks, all of Clay county. Mar 30, 1866: On Thursday evening the 13th inst., in Clay co., by Elder Asa N. Bird, D.B. Fugitt, Esq., to Miss Laura Bell, both of Clay co. At the residence of the bride’s father, in Lafayette county, by Rev. E.S. Dulin, Charles W. Haynes, Esq., of Clay co., to Miss Bettie Ewing. Apr 6, 1866: Near Elm Grove, on the 1st inst., by Elder Asa N. Bird, Henry Johnson, Esq., to Mrs. Emily Hartley, both of Platte county. In Clay co., on the 31 inst., by Elder Wm. Warren, Jas. Louis Coil, of Buchanan co’ty, to Miss Martha E. Reynolds, of Clay. On the same evening, at the same place, Wm. A. Reynolds, Esq., of the same county, to Miss Mary D. Reynolds, daughter of John Reynolds, of Clay co. Apr 13, 1866: On the 5th of April, by Elder T. Montgomery, at the bride’s father’s, Dr. J.T. Carpenter to Miss Louisa A. Cave; all of Centerville, in this county. Apr 20, 1866: Near Plattsburg, on the 11th inst., by Eld. Asa N. Bird, Mr. Benjamin R. Watkins, of Clay, to Miss Mollie C. Balch, of Clinton. On the 12th inst., by the same, at the residence of the bride’s father, Rev. W.C. Barrett, in Haynesville, Mr. James P. Miller, of Clay, to Miss A.J. Barrett, of Clinton. Apr 27, 1866: On Thursday evening, the 19th instant, at the Arthur House in this city, by Eld. Asa N. Bird, George W. Dale, Esq., to Miss Aggie Frisbee, both of Liberty. “She is thine, the word is spoken; Hand to hand and heart to heart: Though all other ties be broken, Time this bond must never part. Bird, Mr. Levi Wise, of Jefferson county, Ky., to Miss Grizella Dulin, of Clay. Jun 8, 1866: In this city on Thursday morning, the 7th inst., by Eld. R.C. Morton, Mr. Ephraim Sandusky, to Miss Mollie Morton, daughter of Dr. Wm. A. Morton, all of Clay county. [We acknowledge the reception of the dollar and bride’s cake.] “May time, who sheds his blight o’er all, And daily dooms some joy to death, O’er thee let years on gently fall, They shall not crush one flower beneath. Jun 22, 1866: At Harrisburg, Linn county, Oregon, on the 13th of May, 1865, by the Rev. A.Gregg, Mr. James Riley, late of Clay county, Mo., to Miss Martha Miller, of Linn county, Oregon. At the same place, on the 13th ult., and by the same, Mr. John M. Smith, formerly of Clay county, to Miss Alice J. Hughes, formerly of Scotland county, Missouri. Jun 29, 1866: Married on Thursday morning June 21st, at the residence of the bride’s father, near Platte City, by Rev. J. Clay, Elder Asa N. Bird, of Liberty, to Miss Sallie E. Pemberton, of Platte. “Oh, married love: each heart shall own, When two congenial souls unite, Thy golden chains inlaid with down, Thy lamp with Heaven’s own splendor bright.” Jul 20, 1866: On Thursday evening, the 12th inst., at the residence of W.P. Hubbell, Esq., in Richmond, by Rev. E.S. Dulin, of Lexington, Mr. Richard M. Hubbell and Miss Alice Quail, both of that city. On Thursday evening, July 12th, at the home of the bride by Elder P. Aker, Mr. John Davenport and Miss Susan Newly, all of Clinton County, Mo. On the 5th day of July, 1866, by Elder Wm. Warren, Mr. John O. Smith, to Miss Bettie A. Smith, all of Clay county. Aug 10, 1866: On the 2d day of August, 1866, at the residence of the bride’s father, S.S. Porter, by Elder J. W. Waller, Mr. Benjamin Coryell, to Mrs. Lucy E. Swann, both of Clay county, Mo. “Adown the stream of human life As still their course shall tend, May memories of their wedding day Grow brighter to the end.” Aug 17, 1866: On the morning of the 12 inst., by the Rev. G.W. Rogers, at the residence of the bride’s mother, Mr. James H. Wilson, of Lincoln county, Ky., and Miss Phoebe A. Cathcart, of Clay county, Mo. On the 12th instant, at the residence of the bride’s father, by Elder T. Montgomery, Mr. Absolom Creek to Miss Martha A. Wade, all of Clay county, Mo. Sep 7, 1866: In this city, on the 4th day of September, 1866, by Samuel H. Holmes, J.P., Mr. John Dyle to Miss Mary E. Moore, both of Platte county, Missouri. In this county, on the 19th ult., by Eld. Asa N. Bird, Mr. James A. Roberts to Miss Lizzie Willis, both of Clay county. On Lord’s morning, Sept, 2d, 1866, at the residence of the bride’s step-father, in this county, by Eld. R.C. Morton, Henry C. Everett and Rhoda T. Hall. “And nothing shall their hearts divide, But on their years serenely glide And all to love be given. And when life’s little scene is o’er, They’ll part to meet and part no more, But live and love in Heaven.” Sep 14, 1866: On the 11th of September, 1866, at the residence of E. Messick, Liberty, Mo., by Dr. Owen, Mr. John N. Estes and Mrs. Fanny Reynolds. “Of all earthly goods the best, is a good wife.” On the 30th of August, 1866, by Elder William Warren, at his residence, Mr. James W. Johnson, of Clinton, to Miss Sarah J. Walker, of Clay. On the 6th instant, by the same, Mr. A.J. Creeson, to Miss Lucy C. Walker, both of Clay county, Missouri. Oct 19, 1866: On Thursday, the 11th inst., by Elder Richard C. Morton, at the Pacific House, Kansas City, David K. Morton, Esq., formerly of this city, to Miss Mollie L. McMeekin, of Kansas City. “Go loving pair and gently glide Adown life’s peaceful river, And be thy days with sunshine blest Forever and forever.” On the 8th inst., at the residence of the bride’s father, by Elder R.C. Morton, J.F. Everett Esq., to Miss Carrie Wlyler, (sic) both of this city. On Thursday evening the 30th ult., by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. James C. Courtney to Miss P. Arnold. In this county, on Thursday, the 15th inst., by the same, Mr. Josiah Stoutimore to Mrs. Ellen Clark. Nov 30, 1866: At the residence of Capt. R. Porter, of St. Louis, Nov. 15, 1866, by Elder Haley, Mr. Thos. W. Park, Editor of the Platte City Reveille, to Miss Maggie E., daughter of Col. John Baxter, of Clay county. On the 1st inst., by Rev. Mr. Fox, Mr. Wm. R. Carter, of Clinton county, to Miss M.E. McCrory, of Clay co. Dec 7, 1866: At Helena, Ark., at the residence of Dr. George McAlpine, on the 15th ult., by Rev. Mr. Shaifer, Dr. J.M. Allen, of Liberty, Mo., to Miss Agnes, daughter of the late W.R. McAlpine, of Claiborne county, Miss. In this city, on Thursday the 6th, by Elder F. R. Palmer, Mr. F.M. Vermilion, to Miss Lou E.
