Gow, of Kearney, to Miss Maggie Arnold, all of Clay county. On the 24th ult., at the residence of the bride’s father, by Elder Thomas L. Lewis, Mr. Wm. Hafferty, of Olathe, Kansas, to Miss Dicy Munson, of Clay county Mo. Mr. Harlow Johnson and Miss Kate Doniphan were married in Clinton county on the 24th ult. Capt. H.B. Johnson, the recently elected Attorney General of this State was married on the 24th inst., to Miss M.B. Marriner, of Independence, Jackson county. Jan 15, 1869: At the residence of Mr. Ellis near Liberty, Mo., on the 13th inst., by Justice Henry Smith, Mr. David Michel and Miss Alice J. Warren, both of Clay county. Jan 22, 1869: On the 18th inst., by Esq., Henry Smith, Mr. Francis Burns and Miss Melissa A. Bryan, both of Clay county, Mo. Hymenial. – Dr. E.J. Feehan, of St. Louis brother of Bishop Feehan, of Tennessee, was, on the 30th of December last, united in marriage to Miss Annie E. Hughes, of New York city. The ceremony was performed at St. Paul’s church (the Rev. Father Hecker’s), New York. Feb 5, 1869: Married, Jan. 30th, 1869, at the residence of the bride’s father, by Rev. D. Apr 16, 1869: Married on Thursday evening 8th inst., by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. Samuel H. Lewis of Clinton Co., and Miss Sallie E. Taul, of Clay county. In this county on the 8th April, 1869, by Elder Henry Hill, Mr. W.L. Luck, to Miss Mettie Wilson, daughter of Judge Thomas M. Wilson, all of Clay county. May 7, 1869: Married, on the 4th inst., at the residence of W.S. Embree, by Elder Henry Hill, Mr. Wm. W. Tillery, to Mrs. Maria C. Vermillion, of Clay county. Rea, of Helena, Montana Ter., to Miss Mattie E., daughter of E.M. Samuel, Esq., of St. Louis. In Lee’s Summitt, Jackson county, May 11th Mr. J.N. Thompson, to Miss Mollie Wilson, formerly of Liberty. Mrs. Mary Stover, widow of the late Col Stover, and daughter of ex-President Johnson, was married in Greenville, on the 20th ultimo, to Mr. Wm. Brown, a merchant of Greenville. May 21, 1869: Married, on the 18th inst., by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. Thos. R. Peters, and Miss Mollie N. Best. May 28, 1869: Holmes and Ecton. – Married on the evening of 24th of May, at the residence of the bride’s father, by Elder F.R. Palmer, Mr. L.C. Holmes, of Chicago, to Miss Bettie Ecton, of Clay county, Mo. Wine, cake and green back received! They have started right. May their days be tranquil, and their bark glide down an easy current without a ripple, save the wave of gladness, and no murmur except the sweet whisper of love. Soddith, both of clay co. Married, on the 16th inst., at Liberty Female College, by Rev. X.X. Buckner, Mr. J.B.T. Cates, of Humboldt, Kansas, and Miss Nellie Wilhoite, of Platte City, Mo. The fair bride had graduated with distinguished honors, amid the plaudits of a brilliant audience, but one brief hour before. “O saw ye not fair Nellie? Dec 24, 1869: Mr. William Gilmer, of Missouri City, was married on the 12th inst., to Miss Gertrude Bell. Hymeneal. – A wedding came off in this city last Wednesday, at the residence of E.B. McDill, Esq., Rev. Wm. Holmes performed the ceremony, and united in marriage Capt. J.H. Rickards of Liberty, and Miss Sallie E. Miller, of St. Louis.
