McClary, of Leavenworth, Mr. Allen R. Hall of Clay county, to Miss Dora daughter of Dr. F.M. Johnson, of Platte City. “A tender heart she gives to thee, And in thy love confiding. She hopes her happiness will be, Secure and long abiding.” Married, on Thursday eve., Dec. 24th, at the house of the officiating clergyman, by Rev. H.M. Richardson, Mr. Wm. J. Thompson, and Miss Addie E. Spicer, of Lawrence, Kansas. Married, in Missouri City on the 1st inst., by Elder Preston Aker, Mr. Edwin Mitchell of Clay county, to Miss Sallie Orr, of Maysville, DeKalb county, Mo. “May your joys be many As the glistening dewdrops fair, And your days be sunny And free from blighting care.” Married Dec. 29th, 1874, at residence of bride’s father Mr. Thos. Liggett, by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. Henry C. Byers, and Miss Sallie J. Liggett, both of Clay county. Jan 22, 1875: Married on Wednesday evening, Jan. 6th at the residence of Mr. E.E. Lindsey by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. Wm. Pope, and Miss Ninnie Clause. Married, on Thursday evening, Jan. 14th at Smithville, by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. Joseph H. Jenkins, and Miss Julia G. Powell. Jan 29, 1875: Married in this city on Wednesday, 27th inst., by Elder A.B. Jones, Mr. Wm. F. Gordon to Miss Lou Oliver. Married at the residence of James Benson, in Clay county, Mo., Jan. 21st, 1875, by Elder C.M. Brown, Mr. N.J. Powers and Miss Minerva Arbuckle; all of Clay county. Hieronymous and Miss Mary Berkley, daughter of the late Edward Berkley. Married on the 10th inst., by Justice Sam’l H. Holmes, Mr. John Clemmons and Miss Malinda C. Icenhower, all of Clay. Married near Barry on the 28th ult., by Eld. Waller, Mr. D.A. Chance and Miss Lizzie, daughter of Col. G.W. Thompson. Married on the 4th inst., at the residence of W.B. Arnold, near Liberty, by Rev. W.R. Rothwell, Mr. A.J. Wilson and Miss Mollie Arnold. Married, in Kansas City on the 9th of Feb., 1875, by Rev. H.M. Richardson, Judge Philander Lucas and Mrs. Virginia Etchison, of Washington, D.C. Married on Sunday evening, Feb. 7th at the residence of N.B. Bush, by N.B. Bush, J.P., Mr. Francis M. Shelton to Miss Malinda M. Groom, all of Clay. Feb 26, 1875: Married on Tuesday February 23d, at the residence of Mrs. S.A. Quisenberry of Clay co. Mo., by Eld. J.W. Luke, Mr. G.L. Moberly of Clinton co., Mo., to Miss S.M. Quisenberry. Mar 5, 1875: Married in this city on Tuesday March 2, 1875, by Elder A.B. Jones, Mr. Thomas H. Frazier to Miss Mary E. Tillery, both of Clay county. Married near Kearney, Feb. 11th by Elder Graves, Mr. Geo. P. Tapp and Miss Mary Combs. Mar 19, 1875: Married at the residence of Mr. Wm. T. Brassfield by Elder Asa N. Bird, on Thursday the 11th inst., Johnson Dale, Esq., and Miss Amanda Brassfield. Married on Thursday eve., March 11th, at the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Fannie Marsh, by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. Lycurges Shipp and Miss Katie Marsh, both of Clay county. Apr 2, 1875: Married at the residence of the bride’s father (Mr. Arthur Nicholson, three miles north of this place) by Rev. Thos. H. Graves, Mr. John Dagley and Miss A. Nicholson. Mr. Geo T. Nelson is happy – gloriously so, and with good cause. He was married on Sunday night last, by Rev. Mr. Devlin, to Miss Terza Dawson, one of Liberty’s fairest gems. May long life and happiness be their portion. Apr 9, 1875: Two children were married in Callaway county, a few days ago. A Mr. A. Allen, aged 81, and Margaret Brown aged 73, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Married, in Glasgow last week, Mr. J.H. Wayland, of Kearney, to Miss Jennie Iglehart, of Glasgow. Apr 16, 1875: Married at the Catholic Church in Easton, Mo., on the 6th inst., by Rev. Father Wright, Mr. John Barry, of Buchanan county, (formerly of Clay county) to Miss Hattie Allgaier of Clinton county, daughter of Mr. Michael Allgaier. Many thanks for the $1 greenback. Around this loving pair may joy serene, On wings of balm, forever wind and play; And laughing Health her roses shake between, Making their life one long, sweet flowery way! Apr 23, 1875: Married in this city on the 15th instant, by Rev. H.M. Richardson, Mr. Samuel L. Long of ????, Mo., and Miss Annie Allen, daughter of Col. Trigg T. Allen of Liberty. May 7, 1875: Married at Missouri City, April 27th, 1875, by Rev. S.H. Carter, Mr. Thomas H. Ballard and Miss Victoria George. Jun 11, 1875: Married, on Wednesday evening, June 9th, 1875, at the residence of Samuel Hunt, by N.B. Bush, J.P., Mr. Mariman Shelton to Miss Alice Caroline Hickman, daughter of James S. Hickman; all of Clay county. Jun 18, 1875: Married at Lathrop, Mo., by Elder J.W. Luke, on the evening of Thursday June 10, Mr. W.H. dudfield, of Clay co., to Miss Mrs. Mary E. Hayes, of Lathrop. Aug 6, 1875: Married, on Sunday evening, August 1st, 1875, by Esquire N.B. Bush, at the residence of the same, Mr. William Nelson Ballew to Miss Mary Allen Monson, daughter of the late Wm. Monson; all of Clay county. Aug 20, 1875: Married at the residence of the bridegroom, near Liberty, Mo., on 17th inst., by Rev. Wm. Ferguson, Maj. A.J. Calhoun, clerk of the circuit court, and Miss Bessie W. alder, of same county. Married, August the 12th, 1875, by Elder Wm. Warren, Mr. Silas O. Jesse to Miss Nancy C. Wilkerson – all of Clay co., Mo. Aug 27, 1875: Married, on the 22d Aug. by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. J.S. Cook, of Illinois, and Miss Mary M. Allnutt, of Haynesville, Mo. Sep 3, 1875: Married in Fishing River Township on the 12th Aug., by Rev. Mr. Prather, Mr. Lewis Vermillion and Miss Octavia Cooley – all of Clay. Sep 10, 1875: On Tuesday, 9 o’clock A.M., Aug. 31, 1875, at the residence of the bride’s father, Thos. Bledsoe, near Chappell Hill, Lafayette county, Mo., Mr. J.F. Justus, a prominent teacher of Platte county, to Miss Mildred Bledsoe. – Plattsburg Register. Sep 24, 1875: Married, on Thursday eve., Sept. 9th, by Elder Asa N. Bird, Mr. James Cox and Miss Ella Cole – both of Clay co. Mr. Loren M. Tullar and Miss Maggie sparks were married at St. Joseph on the 20th inst. The bride is a granddaughter of Mr. A.I. Turpin, of this city. The bridal presents numbered over seventy-five, many of them very valuable, and all of them elegant and appropriate, and the donors were the most honored and aristocratic citizens of St. Joseph. Oct 8, 1875: Married at Plattsburg, Sept 30, ’75, by Rev. T.O. Reilly, Mr. J.M. Sherrin, of Kansas City, to Miss Mollie C. Ryan, of Lathrop. No cards. Married on Sunday 27th Sept., by Justice M.D. Gow, Mr. Solomon George to Miss Nannie T. Spreadling – all of Washington Township, Clay co. George D. Green, a young attorney of St. Joseph, and Miss Lizzie Belt, were married on the 29th ult. Nov 5, 1875: Married on the 28th inst., at the residence of the bride, by Elder P. Aker, Mr. J.B. Holton, of Clay county, to Mrs. Kate Osborn, of Ray county. The Tribune wishes the newly-married couple a long and joyous life, and at last an entrance into that Better Kingdom. Nov 12, 1875: By Rev. W.A. Crouch, at the residence of the bride’s father, Mr. Jas. M. Watkins, on Thursday eve., 5th inst., Mr. Wm. W. Francis to Miss Laura B. Watkins. No cards. But Demetrius received a nice lot of cake, which made him wish he were a boy again. Mr. Francis has won a prize in his bride, as she is one of the best young ladies old Clay ever produced. “How fondly then will she repay The homage offer’d at her shrine And blend, while ages roll away, Her name immortally with thine!” Nov 26, 1875: Married, in Clinton county on the 11th inst., by Rev. Mr. Saunders, Mr. Edward P. Pickett, to Miss Belle McDaniel, both of Clinton co. Nov 26, 1875: Married on the 15th inst., near Barry, by Rev. M.B. Irvine, Mr. L. Tillery, to Miss Amanda Gragg, daughter of Col. John Gragg, both of Clay county. The Tribune’s best wishes to the young couple for health, happiness, prosperity and all other felicities of life. Mr. Wallace Williams, of the Fulton Telegraph, was married to Miss Laura Brandon, on the 17th inst. Dec 3, 1875: Married on Thursday the 18th inst., near this city, by Elder J. Waller, Rev. Robert Thompson, to Miss Dora Lightburne, daughter of Mr. John S. Lightburne – all of Clay county. Dec 10, 1875: Married at Pleasant Valley School House on the evening of Nov. 30, 1875, by Elder James Via, Mr. William N. Leitch, to Miss Elizabeth Hoodlemeyer, all of Clay county. Dec 17, 1875: Married, Nov. 30th, 1875, at the residence of Mrs. Mary Lyons, in Barren county, Ky., Mr. Ephraim Smith, of Liberty, MO., and Miss Kate A. Ellis, of the former place. Ceremony by Sam’l A. Kelley, of the Christian Church. Married at the residence of B. Prather, Esq., by Rev. Mr. Taylor, Mr. C.W. Broadhurst, of Platte county, to Miss Belle Prather, of Clay county. Dec 24, 1875: Married on the 19th inst., by Elder Asa N. Bird, Fred. Fightmaster, Esq., and Miss L.A. Bryant. Married on the 2d inst., by Squire Holmes, Mr. P.O.Caldwell, of Kansas, to Miss Dora A.
