We have rarely parted with a young lady so beautiful and accomplished, but it is gratifying to know that she is entrusted to deserving and careful hands. Mr. Woods is not entirely a stranger, his father having been a native and long a citizen of Woodford county. After receiving the congratulations of their friends the happy pair left for the bridal tour including the Centennial and other places of interest, after which they will return to their Missouri home. May all happiness and good fortune attend them. – Versailles (Ky.) Weekly. Nov 17, 1876: Married in this city on Thursday evening Nov. 9th, by Elder G.W. Longan, Dr. E.H. And may he ever remember and appreciated the fact, that A woman’s love is like the rock That every tempest braves, And stands secure amid the shock Of ocean’s wildest waves; And blest is he to whom repose Within its shade is given, The world, with all its cares and woes, Will be to him a heaven.
